Menus Teton House Blackfoot
The work of Tejon Ranch is guided by a respectful give and take between the needs of land, animals and people. Proudly we continue our ranching traditions, which include cattle grazing, equestrian boarding and events, and the farming of wine grapes, almonds and pistachios. We allow limited hunting experiences on the Ranch to help manage our abundant wildlife populations. And invite fellow explorers to discover their own sense of balance on hundreds of miles of trails, by horse or on their own two feet.

We just wear cross-training shoes; boots aren’t necessary unless you’ll be doing longer hikes. Now is the time to invest in some nice binoculars. Pictures with your phone just don’t do it justice. And if you see a bear or moose, you’ll want a closer look. In Grand Teton NP, there are 8 places you can stay, ranging all over the park.

If you’re just a little more adventurous, we recommend you try white-water rafting just south of the park. There are many companies you can choose from to guide you through the Class III rapids (Class V is the most difficult). This means you can spend less time driving and you can go back to your hotel or campground during the day to rest or take a nap — something that usually is not an option in Yellowstone. Traditional offerings and specials that tantalize the senses. Pasta, seafood, specials of all kinds and of course...

A family favorite with an enclosed loft bedroom perfect for your kids. With stylish finishes and luxurious comforts, our rooms and suites will feel like home in no time. The couple also enjoys working with Dennis and Nellie Dole with the North Butte Classic Car Foundation every July 4 to raise funds for local families.
The two largest are Colter Bay and Gros Venture. Colter Bay sits next to Jackson Lake and provides views of the lake and the mountains. Gros Venture is in the valley and is frequented by moose. I believe most people who fly will fly into Bozeman, MT, because most people visit Yellowstone on the same trip. You can also fly to Jackson Hole Airport which sits right next to GTNP. Some people might fly to Salt Lake City, UT, and do the 5-hour drive to to Yellowstone/Grand Teton.

You have many choices here, but it’s generally NOT cheap. Surrounding mountain ranges make Grand Teton a long drive from just about anywhere. Another winter activity is to take a sled dog tour through Jackson Hole Iditarod Sled Dog Tours. You’ll ride to Granite Hot Springs, where you can soak in some hot springs — perfect for the middle of winter. Jackson and Grand Teton do NOT shut down during the winter! Unlike Yellowstone, which is mostly closed, Jackson Hole offers some incredible activities during the winter.
Although Grand Teton is close to Yellowstone and they often get lumped together, how you visit them is very different.
One of the restaurant’s signature moves is serving large portions. Hancock says many customers request a box because they have a hard time finishing everything, which he considers another positive aspect of their service. If you’re going to do any hiking, you should bring bear spray. While attacks are very rare, it’s possible you could run into a bear just about anywhere in Jackson Hole and Grand Teton. You’ll either drive your own vehicle or RV, or you’ll need to rent a car at the airport.

Dexter tells EastIdahoNews.com that their wagyu tips are one of the most popular items. We would like to extend a warm hello and introduce ourselves! We are Sandy and Mike, and after coming to Teton House for a couple of years as happy patrons, we often joked that we should buy the restaurant because we liked it so much. We had our interest unexpectedly become an opportunity when I (Sandy) mentioned that we traveled too much and perhaps should consider opening another restaurant. Jenny Lake Scenic Drive takes you on a nice drive with views of Jenny Lake. The String Lake parking lot is located on Jenny Lake Scenic Drive.

If you go through Montana, don’t miss the lovely town of Missoula and Grant-Kohrs Ranch National Historic Site in Deer Lodge. Today the lake feels like a separate part of the park — it feels more like a resort town. We’ve rafted this river multiple times as a family, and if white-water rafting interests you at all, you’ll LOVE this. The river runs through a very deep canyon, providing spectacular views and a few heart-stopping moments. Check out our article 10 Things to Know About River Rafting in Grand Teton and Jackson Hole. Many companies offer scenic floats on the calm section of the Snake River.
The other lakes can only be visited by hiking to them; most are 3 miles or fewer. Hiking up our hillsides, looking up at the Milky Way, you’ll never know LA is just an hour or so away. (A city we could just about fit inside our fence line.) Tejon Ranch is the largest expanse of private land in California. It’s a working ranch, raising cattle and crops. But mostly, our mountains, valleys, canyons and high desert country — yes, it’s that big — lie untouched. And as we open our gates to thoughtful development, we’ll keep most of it exactly as it is.
Most people will enter Grand Teton from Yellowstone, which is about an hour north of the park. Many people wonder how much time to spend in Grand Teton vs Yellowstone. Our take is three days in Teton, four days in Yellowstone. You can get a very good feel for Grand Teton National Park and the city of Jackson in that amount time. September is our recommended time to visit Yellowstone and Grand Teton. It can still be somewhat crowded, but visitors are waning, and the weather is usually great.
